It was fairly chilly this morning when Matt and I went to take these pictures. lol. I think the temperature was 55 degrees! I def looked liked the crazy person under-dressed outside. But that's what you do to get the perfect shot..... right?!?
I am enjoying my time here in Long Beach... yesterday while Matt was at his conference all day I worked out, showered, went shopping, laid out at the pool, took a nap, showered again and got ready for dinner with Matt and his co-workers. It was a lovely relaxing day. This morning we got up a little early to take pics and then we went to breakfast before Matt had to go back to the conference again all day today.
These shorts I snagged at Lilly Pulitzer... I never shop her stuff because some of it is way too "mom like" for me. My best friend loves her stuff because of the bright colors. Anyways, I fell in love with these 'run around' shorts and I bought them to also wear over swim suits in Cabo. Super comfy and they fit really well. I liked this pattern the best... but they do come in several other colors and patterns. They are only $58 and they have pockets which I love!
I pair them with the long sleeve button up, tied at the waist, but you could really put just about any type of top with them.... tank top, crop top, t-shirt, flowy, etc.
One other thing.... I was watching another bloggers IG stories yesterday and she was talking about using a pre-set filter for all her pictures. I have not done a pre-set filter before because I like to manually edit each photo so each one looks it's best. She was saying you should use a filter so all your pictures look the same.... well I think that I have done my pictures where they all kinda look the same..... but today.... I decided to mix it up and give a pre-set filter a try. I found that I really liked this one. I think it gave me a super glowy look that I really liked.
What do yall think? Yah or Nah?
On a side note..... when I originally blogged these slides >HERE< the color I am wearing was sold out. But the Marc Fisher Tan Leather is back in stock!! Get them while they are hot!
